Is the division of the American Heart Association that's solely focused on reducing disability and death from stroke through research, education, fundraising and advocacy.

Società Italiana di Neurologia (SIN)
La SIN ha lo scopo di promuovere in Italia gli studi neurologici, finalizzati allo sviluppo della ricerca scientifica, alla formazione ed all'aggiornamento degli specialisti, al miglioramento della qualità professionale nell'assistenza ai soggetti con malattie del sistema nervoso. L'attività della SIN è coordinata con gli interventi delle strutture pubbliche e con le iniziative assunte a livello europeo ed extraeuropeo aventi analoghe finalità.

European Atherosclerosis Society
Atherosclerosis is the disease of arteries that is the usual cause of heart attacks and stroke. The European Atherosclerosis Society, founded in 1964, is devoted to advancing knowledge of the causes, natural history, treatment and prevention of the disease, as stipulated by the Society's constitution. Currently composed of about 400 senior and junior researchers in basic as well as clinical science, membership is open to scientists working in Europe and in neighboring countries.

National Stroke Association
- Develop and implement innovative approaches and programs to advance prevention, acute treatment, recovery and rehabilitation for stroke.
- Establish NSA as an effective advocate and the preeminent voice for stroke.
- Strengthen and expand NSA's strategic alliances and partnerships.
- Create a strong, stable funding base for long-term growth.
- Strengthen NSA's internal capacity and infrastructure to meet its mission.

Società Italiana per lo Studio dell'Aterosclerosi
La SISA è una Società che mette insieme esperti ed appassionati sul tema dell'Arteriosclerosi.
Fondata nel 1964 da un gruppo comprendente tra gli altri il Prof. Paoletti, il Prof. Weber, il Prof. Ricci, il Prof. Ventura ed il Prof. Mancini, conta oggi circa 1000 soci ed è articolata in 11 sezioni regionali.
Le attività di cui si occupa la Società sono quella di ricerca, e quella formativa, per raggiungere questi scopi si avvale di gruppi di studio e della collaborazione di numerosi esperti.
